Hull (Massachusetts) Times cartoons from Summer

| In February 1991, on the advice of local cartooning
guru, Mat Brown, I went to the Hull (Massachusetts) Times for the
chance they might publish my political cartoons in exchange for ad
space. Susan Ovans, the editor/publisher/owner of one of the most
substantial town weeklies in New England, did one better. She offered
me a job as staff cartoonist. Twelve years and over 600 cartoons later
I'm still cranking out a Hull toon every week. Thanks to our weekly
e-mails, I'm able to draw from the comfort of my adobe home in Albuquerque,
New Mexico. And I haven't missed a deadline yet. |
